Hello, and welcome home. I am Mark C. Speaker, the president and founder of HBC Inspection Services, LLC. I was born and raised at the Jersey Shore, and have been a construction professional for more than 30 years. I became involved in the inspection process some 20 years ago while building a new house for my family. In 2004, I retired from my heavy construction career, and stepped into the inspection field as a full time career. Its a great extension of my many years in the construction field. My vast background has been a fantastic tool which I utilize at each and every  inspection.

I currently hold and maintain a NJ Building Inspector and Construction Official License, a NJ Real Estate Salesperson License. I am also certified for NJ Termite inspections, DEP Radon testing,  Indoor Air Quality-Mold testing, and maintain a OSHA Hazardous Waste/Superfund  Certification (part of my oil tank removal and cleanup days). In NJ a licensed and or certified Technician or Inspector is  required by law to attend ongoing Continuing Education Programs throughout the year. I far surpass these requirements.

A home inspection is all about noting the sometimes small issues within the home, and then being able to properly understand their purpose and interaction in the whole overall picture.
